The lecture is devoted to the key concepts and rules of functioning of the photography art market. A brief analysis of the criteria that determine the collector’s value of a photo print and influence the subsequent pricing within the art market of photography is presented.
It also gives a necessary idea of the specifics of the art market of contemporary photography. The rules of interaction between the participants of the art photography market among themselves and with the complex of visual artefacts they are interested in are explained. The problem of forgeries of authors’ works on the art market of photography is told. The lecture is illustrated with rich visual material.
