The lecture will present 2 parts of the project on screen, and a third part directly in the exhibition. The project is a postmodern history of modernism, conventionally from Picasso to Koons.

Themes will be explored:

-the button as an artist’s image;

– developing the history of the Soviet stationery button in photographic projects;

– the button’s entry into the international arena, the project “The Button and Modernism”, including hommages to famous and not so famous modernist and non-modernist artists, the creation of reproductions of non-existent works by artists;

– the creation of a personal museum of contemporary art – the “Museum of the Stationery Button”.
