Centre of Visual Culture Béton invites you to a concert of SCRIPCAFORTE!
Violinist Ravil Islyamov and pianist Svetlana Ponomaryova are a duo of soloists. The musicians met and got to know each other in 2017 at the International Military Music Festival ‘Spasskaya Tower’, where they took part in a concert in the Alexander Hall of the Kremlin. The duo made their debut at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory on 9 September 2022.
The concert programme is eclectic, as is the philosophy of the Centre of Visual Culture Béton. It includes works of different styles, epochs, genres and national colours: from neo-baroque and 19th century French salon to fiery Moldovan music, from Armenian ashugs songs and Polish polonaise to jazz.
1. Aram Khachaturian (1903-1978) ‘Song-Poem’ (in honour of ashugs) 1929.
2 Alfred Schnittke (1934-1998) ‘Suite in the old style’ Pastorale, Ballet, Menuet, Fugue, Pantomime
3. Henri Vieutan (1820-1881) ‘Rondino’ (Op. 32)
4. Mieczyslaw Weinberg (1919-1996) ‘Moldavian Rhapsody’.
5. Henryk Wieniawski (1835-1880) Polonaise (Op. 4)
6. Igor Frolov (1937-2013) ‘Concert Fantasy on Themes from J. Gershwin’s opera Porgy and Bess’ (Op. 19)
