Generations of modern directors have learned and continue to learn from Andrei Tarkovsky (1932-1986), and we are lucky to be compatriots of this classic and to watch his films in our native language. Kamill Akhmetov, a screenwriter and writer, and a lecturer at the Institute of Cinema at the Higher School of Economics and the Moscow School of Cinema, will discuss the phenomenon of Tarkovsky and the contributions this film genius has made to culture, not only through his unique film language, but also through the messages conveyed in his films.
