The International Conference on Creative Economy has started at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in St. Petersburg, with the Béton Center of Visual Culture as its art partner.
The venue has gathered 1,500 representatives of creative industries from more than 30 BRICS, CIS, SCO countries, as well as states of the Middle East and North Africa.
Over the course of two days, the forum participants will discuss the impact of creative industries on the economy and society, as well as form new partnerships. Among the main topics of discussion were issues of intellectual property protection, as well as the development of cities, the education system, and international cooperation in promoting creative industries.
Works from the collection of the Béton Center of Visual Culture for Creative Industries were part of the international dialogue. As part of the first International Conference on the Creative Economy, the Center presented the exhibition «Creative Technologies in Photography». The exhibition features both historical prints by renowned artists and works created by photo artists using the latest digital technologies, including AI.
