The first project of Béton Center of Visual Culture in Moscow will bring together works by Alexander Rodchenko, Max Alpert, Francisco Infante-Aran, Leonid Lazarev, Vaclovas Straukas, Alexei Vasilyev, Andrei Chezhin and other artists.

The exhibition will include author's prints, many of which will be presented to the public for the first time. At the very core of art lies the idea of possibility to create something new that surpasses reality and offers alternatives.

The result of the development of photography was a shift in the focus of the creative community: artists focused on the properties of the flat image and the possibilities of human vision in comparison with the "vision" of the camera. Photography allowed us to pay attention to the fact that reality can look fundamentally different if we change the parameters of its visual fixation. The world of the photographic plane, devoid of struggle, didactics and social morality as defining categories, the world of "art for art's sake" became an object of expression in the works of new-type artists.
