ABOUT THE FILM
During the Second World War the artist and master of photomontage Alexander Zhitomirsky tries with the help of his art to persuade the enemy to stop the slaughter. Propaganda leaflets are dropped on Nazi soldiers from aeroplanes in millions of copies. Unlike bombs, they do not take lives – they are meant to save them. The author of these leaflets, without sleep or rest, wages his own daily struggle to see the enemy as a human being through hatred. Will he be able to preserve his talent and himself in this struggle?
